Investment Banking Analyst
Role
As an Investment Banking Analyst, you will actively participate in a wide variety of transactions headed by senior and intermediate members of the Investment Banking Team. All Analysts are generalists, and as a result, gain exposure and develop expertise in a diversified array of industry groups. You will be intricately involved in the preparation of materials to be presented to clients, and play a meaningful role in the raising of capital from the public and private capital markets, as well as providing clients with merger and acquisition and other advisory services.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Researching and analyzing clients’ financial situations, industry and market data, and mergers and acquisition opportunities
- Private and public company valuation and financial modelling
- Preparing presentations to clients
- Drafting external client proposals and internal documentation
Qualifications
The Investment Banking Analyst position at National Bank Financial Group will appeal to highly motivated senior year undergraduate business students who are interested in pursuing an Investment Banking career in an entrepreneurial and high-energy environment. Investment Banking Associate
Role
As an Investment Banking Associate, you will assume a leadership role in a wide variety of transactions headed by senior members of the Investment Banking Team. You will be intricately involved in the preparation of materials and presentations to clients, the raising of capital from the public and private capital markets, as well as merger and acquisition and other advisory services. Emphasis is placed on analysis, financial modeling and written presentations, but candidates must also show the ability to interact effectively with clients and their advisors.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Researching and analyzing clients’ financial situations, industry and market data, and mergers and acquisition opportunities
- Private and public company valuation and financial modelling
- Preparing presentations to clients
- Drafting external client proposals and internal documentation
- Supporting relationship managers with idea generation
- Leading Investment Banking Analysts
Qualifications
Individuals should either be recent MBA graduates, or individuals with significant experience and training in the finance industry. Candidates will have demonstrated excellent analytical abilities, advanced oral and written communication skills, expertise in financial modeling and valuation, as well as a positive, enthusiastic and co-operative attitude.
